Covid Secure Measures
We are delighted to inform you that our clinics within Stewarton and Prestwick will be re-opening for face-to-face appointments on the 14/07/2020. We are following strict guidelines provided by our Governing bodies; HCPC/CSP and Physiofirst. Prior to seeing us in clinic a short triage over the telephone will be necessary to ensure it is suitable for you to attend an appointment at this time and to fully explain the measures in place for your safety. We may recommend a virtual approach should this be deemed favourable to your own set of circumstances. Unfortunately we have had to remove our online booking system at this time to ensure all new measures can be followed. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
Adaptations & Changes
As a Physiotherapy provider our adherence to infection control has always played a huge role in our operating procedures. Your safety is at the forefront of our service delivery. We will continue to ensure that our clinics remain clean. We have enhanced cleaning protocols in place to minimise risk whilst visiting one of our clinics. A Covid-19 pre-screening and consent form will be sent to you prior to your appointment and must be completed 24 hours before attending. Your Physiotherapist will be in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and you will be risk assessed on your arrival at the clinic. You will also be asked to wear a mask. You can wear your own mask or if you would prefer a disposable one to use whilst at our clinic we can provide this for a nominal fee. We will be limiting appointment numbers per day and will have longer gaps between appointments to allow for deep cleaning and airing of the treatment space. There will be no waiting area in operation at this time so please arrive for your appointment at the prearranged time. We are here to guide you through the changes and to make it a positive experience. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
We will return to face-to-face practice but will continue to offer Telehealth for the foreseeable future, which means you can speak to your practitioner and continue your rehabilitation over video call. This will enable us to be accessible to those who are not able to visit us in-person or are currently not comfortable with a face-to-face approach. To arrange an initial assessment or treatment session then please call 01560 483200. Please note that the majority of private healthcare insurance are now accepting Telehealth. We will advise you on this at time of booking. If we do not feel you are suitable for Telehealth we will also provide reasons for this and the appointment will not go ahead.
At present our Physio-led Pilates and Yoga classes will remain online. The classes have been hugely successful over virtual platform and will be here to stay longer-term. This will allow the class to be streamed to you in the comfort of your own home. For more details on cost for pay as you go and block bookings of classes please visit our services page. For more information or to be enrolled on Zoom please contact us via our contact form or call 01560 483200. We will update you when our in-clinic classes will resume but anticipate this to be around the end of August/beginning of September 2020.
“Due to Covid 19 my routine physio appointment was changed to an online video appointment with Diane. Given that I usually have hands on massage and acupuncture I was a bit unsure about an online appointment and how effective it would be. I was so wrong. It was a very effective session. I was shown, and had to try, various techniques I could do at home. These have proven to be very effective and I continue to do them as and when necessary. At one point both Diane and I were both lying on the floor, me with tins of beans in my hands doing exercises! I was very happy with the outcome of my session and my next appointment is already booked.” Aileen Kerr 21/4/2020
“The online consultations given by Physioflexx have been invaluable in my rehabilitation from injury. Video messaging has provided an excellent means for the team to assess the injury and provide detailed feedback and recommendations on how to treat it. During the current Covid19 pandemic I would highly recommend this service which would also be ideal for those wishing greater flexibility in consultations or are unable to travel to appointments.” Ross Pollock 23/4/2020
