Postnatal Mum Tum
Do you feel you have that postnatal mum tum? The tummy that no matter what you try and do doesn’t seem to shift? Then keep your eyes peeled below…
We are pleased to bring to you workshops throughout the year on all things health and wellbeing. We will talk specifically about sports and injury prevention as well as how to rehab for certain conditions. Currently due to current Covid Restrictions the workshops running in 2021 will be presented over Zoom.
NEXT ONLINE WORKSHOP: MUM TUM – the post-natal journey
15/04/2021 @ 6-8pm with Kate
This workshop will be guiding you on the dos and don’ts of safe exercise following giving birth to your baby and addressing your postnatal mum tum.
More specifically the workshop will teach you what to look out for when assessing your own stomach muscles and answering questions surrounding why your tummy may not look like it use to and how you can work to restore the strength in your tummy muscles.
Diastatis Rectus Abdominis (DRA) is completely normal during pregnancy but following birth the separation at the linea alba should resolve (slight separation is absolutely normal – you have grown a human!). However a DRA continues to effect one third of post-natal ladies and we need to think about “the gap” but also “the tone” – the depth and what spring we have through the muscles.
DRA can cause you to feel body conscious, lack self-esteem and feel frustrated and/or low mood. The good news is there is nothing to fear. Exercise is good and we are here to guide you through this process.
If you can resonate with the outline of this workshop then please either call us on 01560 483200 or complete the enquiry form below and one of our team will be in touch to confirm your place.
Price to attend the workshop is £25.00 (early bird of £20.00 if booked before 02/04/2021)
