We will talk specifically about sports and injury prevention as well as how to rehab for certain conditions. Postnatal Mum Tum | Love Your Tum

Workshop Outline;

This workshop will be guiding you on the dos and don’ts of safe exercise following giving birth to your baby and addressing your postnatal mum tum.

More specifically the workshop will teach you what to look out for when assessing your own stomach muscles and answering questions surrounding why your tummy may not look like it use to and how you can work to restore the strength in your tummy muscles.

Diastatis Rectus Abdominis (DRA) is completely normal during pregnancy but following birth the separation at the linea alba should resolve (slight separation is absolutely normal – you have grown a human!). However a DRA continues to effect one third of post-natal ladies and we need to think about “the gap” but also “the tone” – the depth and what spring we have through the muscles.

DRA can cause you to feel body conscious, lack self-esteem and feel frustrated and/or low mood. The good news is there is nothing to fear. Exercise is good and we are here to guide you through this process.
